Whether you do it right after you wake up or before you go to bed, the timing of your yoga practice is totally up to you.
Can you do yoga every day?
Practicing yoga every day is possible and encouraging. Benefits such as increased energy, mobility and flexibility are achieved. When you practice yoga every day, it's important to change your routine with simple exercises and routines that stimulate your body.Having this balance will provide you with the most benefit. Yoga poses (asanas) can be practiced at any time of the day, except 2 to 3 hours after eating. You can do poses when your body feels stiff, tense, tired, or exaggerated. Be careful not to do too many overstimulating poses just before bed.
It is best to practice the asanas first in the yoga routine, followed by breathing (pranayama) and then meditation. Find the times of day that best suit you, even if it's a combination of mornings, evenings and nights throughout the week. Iyengar advises doing yoga early in the morning or late at night, and points out that each one has its advantages. By practicing yoga every day, you develop the habit of getting your body into the routine of exercising every day.
It doesn't really matter if you do yoga at different times on different days of the week, as long as you find a routine that's sustainable. Since the key to accessing all the benefits of yoga is to practice it consistently over time (and, hopefully, in the future), you must find the routine that fits your lifestyle and that fits your schedule. I highly recommend finding a yoga routine that you like and that makes you feel good and motivated. While the time of day you practice yoga will depend on your preferences, the length of the practice will depend on factors such as your schedule, level of physical activity and any exercise goals you may have.
When you wake up, empty your bowels, shower if you want, and start your day with your yoga practice regimen. Of all the poses that I have learned in yoga, these are the ones that I have connected the most because of how much they have opened up the upper part of my body and have increased the strength of my abdomen. The only time you do yoga too often is when you do exactly the same routine every day that requires high intensity. Although hot yoga classes are offered in the mornings, afternoons and evenings, many advocates recommend practicing hot yoga on an empty stomach.
If you do yoga at home, it's helpful to choose a time when you can focus on yourself and your practice when you don't have to take care of other people or tasks. While yoga doesn't require equipment as such, there are some supplies you should have to make your practice smooth, comfortable and satisfying. Alternatively, if you have a flexible schedule, evenings or nights may be more suitable for you, depending on what time of day you prefer to practice. While this may not be the case for everyone, it's a good idea to think of an evening yoga practice as an opportunity to relax rather than relax.
